Will’s university friends decided to undertake the ultimate challenge to fundraise for the Foundation! A group of Will’s friends from University opted to take on the UK National 3 Peaks Challenge on the 31st August 2018.
This entailed climbing the tallest mountain in Scotland, England, and Wales in under 24 hours (including travelling from one peak to another)! This was done in Wills name to help raise money for The William Mills Foundation.
The group was incredible and smashed their targets managing to climb the 3 biggest mountains in the UK in just 22 hours and 50 minutes! This involved over 26 miles of mountain trekking, over a 1000 miles travelled and an incredible £2560 raised for The William Mills Foundation.

“Trying to replicate an aspect of the kindness Will showed in his life is something all of us feel privileged to be involved in, it was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done but not for a second did anyone think of the idea of not finishing. We hope we did our Will proud. Our focus is to work towards improving Will’s foundation in order to prolong his legacy, this is why anyone who donated to the cause should know that I sincerely appreciate it. Thank-you all and well done to the whole team including drivers and those who supplied food, petrol, cars, equipment and time!”
The meaning of the event summarised by participant Euan.
A huge thank-you to all involved and a massive congratulations to the boys for completing such a mission! We can’t wait to hear about your next fundraising idea!
